I bought this to educate not just my children but myself as well. It is well written though at a higher level. My oldest is in 3rd grade and it's way above him, but I am able to learn and teach them. Many recipes and activities are included and the back is full of TONS of information that I would have gladly paid for by itself even. Yes, Young Living oils are mentioned but everything can be done without them, they would just be an added benefit to have. Overall I am pleased.
